It has become clear that physical activity is very important for young children in child care settings. More and more research is showing that having a level of risk in play is important for a child’s development—physically, cognitively, and emotionally. This course will look at research findings on risky play and discuss what is reasonable in child care settings, keeping state regulations in mind.
