This session will cover a brief review of trauma and the definitions of burnout and compassion fatigue as a secondary traumatic stress response. We will work on self- care strategies to cope with the stressors of working in emotionally intense environments as well as compassionate classroom strategies to help our students/ children cope as well. Participants will leave with a personalized self care plan to put into action for themselves. This is event is approved for 2 Growing Futures Basic Licensing training hours.
